RIFTSTORM Future and Teased Weavers

Separate the five confirmed Early Access Weavers from publicly teased operatives and post-launch roster plans.

Last updated:

Future Weavers

RIFTSTORM’s Early Access launch roster is explicit: Rook, Starling, Hertz, Botsy, and Caracal. Confiction Labs and August 2026 press materials repeat those five names whenever they describe day-one content. Everything else—older marketing pages, playtest operatives, or comic-side characters—should be filed under teased, historical, or post-launch candidates until Steam patch notes say otherwise. This page exists so wiki readers stop assuming every name on an old Weavers collage is playable on August 11, 2026.

Confirmed Early Access five

Read the live dossiers first:

  • Rook — Beginner-friendly area control
  • Starling — Sustained marksman DPS
  • Hertz — Resilient close-combat pressure
  • Botsy — Deployable / turret utility
  • Caracal — Agile ops-style mobility

Why “future” Weavers appear online

Across Mythic Protocol marketing and older site modules, players have seen additional operative names and redacted slots. Examples that have appeared in public-facing materials over the project’s life include Thistle (spell / grimoire fantasy in alpha write-ups), Thumper, and other redacted Weaver cards. Treat those appearances as IP and pipeline signals, not as a promise they ship in the first Early Access build.

If a name is missing from the Steam Early Access “what is available” list, it is not a launch Weaver—full stop.

Official post-launch promise

What is promised: Confiction Labs plans to expand the playable roster during Early Access and toward 1.0. Press copy for the August 11, 2026 EA announcement specifically calls out new Weavers in the first sequence of post-launch updates, alongside the Armory Update. Steam’s longer FAQ also lists additional playable Weavers among full-version goals. See the Roadmap for how that fits the 18–24 month EA expectation.

How to prepare without spoiling your fun

DoDon’t
Main one of the five launch Weavers deeplyDelay learning kits because a teased mage “might” ship soon
Keep Forge materials flexible for new kitsSpend every resource on five prestige guns you will not respec
Watch Steam news for roster patch notesTrust unsourced tier lists that rank unreleased Weavers as S-tier
Revisit Periapt when a new Weaver arrivesAssume old Periapt paths automatically suit new kits

Thistle and other teased fantasies

Alpha-era coverage described Thistle as a Weaver harnessing a blossoming-thorns grimoire with a library of combat spells—clearly a different fantasy from Starling’s gun platform or Botsy’s turrets. That fantasy may return, be redesigned, or remain lore-only. Until Confiction Labs posts a playable kit breakdown tied to a patch, keep Thistle (and similar names) on this future page, not on the launch tier lists.

Demo roster vs EA roster

The Steam demo historically locked a smaller curated set of level-30 Weavers for its four missions. Demo availability is not the same as EA launch availability. Always reconcile demo memories with the five-name EA list before you tell friends “we can queue Thistle on day one.”

When this page should change

Update triggers:

  • Steam news adds a sixth playable Weaver with abilities
  • Armory or roster patch notes move a teased name into shippable state
  • Official site Weavers page matches Steam’s available list

Until then, the honest wiki answer is: five at EA launch, more planned later, teasers are not unlockable promises. Pair this with Weavers Hub and Early Access Overview when onboarding new players.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common RIFTSTORM questions.

Is Thistle playable at RIFTSTORM Early Access launch?

No. Launch Weavers are Rook, Starling, Hertz, Botsy, and Caracal. Thistle has appeared in older teasers/alpha coverage but is not part of the confirmed EA five.

Will RIFTSTORM add more Weavers after launch?

Yes—additional Weavers are a stated Early Access and full-version goal, including mentions alongside the Armory Update sequence.

Should I wait to buy until more Weavers ship?

Only if roster variety is your main purchase reason. The five launch kits already cover distinct roles for three-player co-op—see Trio Comps.

Are redacted Weaver cards on the website coming soon?

Redacted cards signal pipeline interest, not dates. Trust Steam patch notes over collage art.

Where should I check for new Weaver releases?

Steam news for app 2282790, Confiction Labs posts, and updates to this wiki's Roadmap and Weavers hub.
