Dataseed Blueprints in RIFTSTORM

Dataseed blueprints are RIFTSTORM’s answer to “I know which gun I want.” Official Forge Center documentation describes two crafting paths: spend materials and credits on a random weapon craft, or consume a mission-earned blueprint / Dataseed to craft a specific weapon pattern. This page explains when Dataseeds matter, how they interact with Combat Power potential and rarity floors, and how squads should farm them during the planned August 11, 2026 Steam Early Access window without starving the salvage economy.

Why Dataseeds exist

Random crafts are excellent for filling holes—any SMG, any mid CP rifle—while you learn Threat Levels. Dataseeds exist for the opposite problem: your Starling main wants a particular precision archetype, or your Rook needs a stable close-range pattern that matches loadout theory. Without blueprints, the Forge Center becomes a slot machine. With them, crafts become intentional.

Playtest and alpha write-ups also paired Dataseeds with the shared vault and salvage loop: recycle junk, bank seeds, craft the role gun, share across Weavers when vault rules allow.

How to earn Dataseeds

Blueprints drop from mission completion and high-value objectives inside PADDOCK Contingency and related operations. Expect better seed odds when you:

• Clear missions near recommended Combat Power
• Finish extracts successfully—failed runs lose mission loot even if your brought weapons only scar
• Push optional objectives and elite packs you can still survive
• Coordinate trio roles so clears stay fast enough for multiple farm loops per night

Exact drop tables will shift during Early Access. Treat any community spreadsheet as provisional until Confiction Labs publishes stable rates.

Crafting with a Dataseed

At the Forge Center:

1. Select the specific-weapon / blueprint craft path.
2. Choose the Dataseed matching the weapon pattern you want.
3. Set CP potential and minimum rarity floors—higher settings cost more materials and credits.
4. Craft, equip, and verify the new CP badge on mission select.
5. Salvage or vault the displaced weapon so inventory stays readable.

Dataseeds vs Weapon Scarring

A Dataseed craft is still a weapon you can scar. Do not burn a rare seed, max rarity investment, and then greed an extract on an unfamiliar Mythic pack. Use How to Extract and the Extraction Checklist before debuting a fresh blueprint gun on high Threat. If it scars, repair or salvage thoughtfully—sometimes the materials refund a second craft better than living with a bad negative mod.

Squad farming etiquette

• Call which seeds the static needs before the session (“Starling precision,” “Botsy supportive special”).
• Avoid three players rolling the same random crafts while ignoring seed objectives.
• Share vaulted role weapons when rules allow so one seed benefits multiple Weavers over a week.
• Keep a learning loadout so prestige Dataseed guns stay home during first clears of new boards.

Armory Update context

Confiction Labs named an Armory Update among early post-launch beats. When new weapon families arrive, expect new Dataseed targets and temporary scarcity. Revisit this page and the Roadmap after that update ships—seed value often spikes the week a new family lands.

Demo limitations

The Steam demo may expose only a simplified crafting slice. Use demo time to learn which archetypes feel good; plan Dataseed targets for Early Access week one rather than assuming demo crafts equal launch blueprint costs.

Dataseeds turn the Forge Center from hope into a plan. Farm them on honest CP missions, spend them on role-defining weapons, and protect those crafts with extract discipline.
